Prof. Colani, inventor of the bio-design, who describes himself as the legitimate successor of renowned Galileo Galilei, has impressed along his 50 years of activity with a variety of spectacular cars, airplanes and architecture, more than 1000 individual pieces of furniture and products as well as thousands of world novelties and technical world records. His idiosyncratic and spectacular designs and products are epoch-making milestones of design history, which were ahead of their their time for decades.

Colani has done over 20,000 designs in his career. Roughly 70 percent of them have also become off-the-shelf products - usually items such as pens and eggcups. More rarely went into production his unusual designs such as the stratospheric sailplane, the vertical take-off plane or the "super sports car" with 900 hp.
